Latest News Mancunian of the year Carl Tilson achieved the goal being named Mancunian of the Year beating off a host of celebrities having been the only non-celebrity in the category of 24 nominees. Helping to raise around £100,000 for the Action Duchenne charity and has also directly urged the Prime Minister and health ministers to fund trials into finding a cure. Polling nearly a third of the votes cast by the public on the website Carl came ahead of Take That singer Gary Barlow who got 25 per cent and Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs and Slumdog Millionaire film director Danny Boyle came joint third with 14 per cent each. | Nominate Carl Tilson - Pride of Britain 2010
We would welcome your support to nomination Carl Tilson, Mancunian of the year for a Pride of Britain 2010 which will raise even more awareness for the Duchenne community.
Nominations must be received by midnight on Friday September 10th, 2010 no later to be considered for Pride of Britain 2010.
“Carl is most known for helping to increase awareness for Duchenne working tireless in the face of adversity while representing his fellow young men and children that have the same condition.”
