Manchester City birthday luncheon

13th February 2009 – Carl’s 22nd birthday marked the perfect opportunity to have a fundraiser to celebrate his remaining life, having had a Manchester City Hall of Famer for a granddad from the 1930’s enabled him to have a fundraiser at Manchester City.  

Put on by Manchester City honorary president Tudor Thomas with a huge contribution by his committee. Representative from Action Duchenne Esther Derber and her team also contributed.  We raised over £30,000 and in attendance was the former 7 times Women’s wrestling champion Trish Stratus, Carl’s heroine who drop in from Toronto, Canada.

Halloween Ball

31st November 2009 Halloween Ball – a fundraiser put together from Action Duchenne’s sister organisation One Can Make a Difference with Esther’s team where I did a speech and we raised £34,000!
